MOD CODEC HTML5 Audio Element

Do you think the HTML spec should do something differently? You can discuss spec feedback here, but you should send it to the WHATWG mailing list or file a bug in the W3C bugzilla for it to be considered.

MOD CODEC HTML5 Audio Element

I think it would be highly beneficial to support the MOD format (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MOD_%28file_format%29) for the (X)HTML5 audio element given the greater programmatic control and greatly reduced bandwidth in comparison to currently support formats (e.g. MP3 and OGG).

Have you asked browser vendors if they're interested in supporting it?

I'm deferring to a friend who knows about the format a lot better than I and hopefully will have a more insightful proposal to approach vendors with.
