How can I do live streaming under HTML 5? I'm trying with chrome and safari for windows, but without sucess. I need user h.264 codec, right? I can use any transmission protocol (HTTP livestreaming, RTSP)?

thanks,
Daniel

Hi!

Simplest way is ogg/theora to firefox 3.5+ or Chrome 3.0 by Linux: ffmpeg2theora (live convert from your source to ogg/theora) + oggfwd (forward to icecast2) + icecast2 (http streaming). It's OK.

When you can stream to other browsers with mp4/h.264, you must have some proffesional streaming server as e.g. Wowza.
