Article & Aside elements not being recognized?

Postby karlnoelle » Fri Aug 27, 2010 5:34 pm

Hi everyone,

I've started building a new site, and am trying to add a Footer element below my Nav, Article, and Aside elements. For some reason, the Article and Aside elements seem to be ignored by Safari 5, and it's not displaying properly.

Here's a link to the site: http://karlnoelle.com/mindbody/index.html

I have been using the Inspect Element feature, and when I highlight the <div id="container"> section, you can see that the Article and Aside elements are not included in the blue highlighted area.

Any idea as to what I am doing wrong?

Thanks!

Maybe you need to declare display:block?

Unfortunately that didn't take care of it :(

Here's the link with some text inside my footer content:

It's frustrating because I've made this work before at my own website:

Maybe you need to clear your floats? I don't know really what the problem is, but it seems to be a CSS problem.
