CSS Media Queries

Hi there,

I have a question reagading CSS Media Queries.
It is a simple as, is a image going to be downloaded if I use it for the desktop version but adding display none via media queries, while using my mobile?

It would me a lot if you could help me out there.

This question killed me night!
But I finally got an answer.

Images are being loaded even with display:none;

But you can use background-image.

I think it's IE that will load images nested inside of elements set to display:none.
