IMG Attributes

Do you think the HTML spec should do something differently? You can discuss spec feedback here, but you should send it to the WHATWG mailing list or file a bug in the W3C bugzilla for it to be considered.

Is there a plan to reduce in HTML5 the number of IMG attributes like NAME, ID, TITLE, ALT?

Currently the following element-specific attributes were in HTML4 but are not in HTML5: longdesc, name.

id and title are part of the global attributes that are allowed on any HTML element.
