HTTP Authorization

Do you think the HTML spec should do something differently? You can discuss spec feedback here, but you should send it to the WHATWG mailing list or file a bug in the W3C bugzilla for it to be considered.

HTTP Authorization

Please add a Method to Control HTTP Authorization

Some Ideas:
* http://www.w3.org/TR/1999/NOTE-authentform-19990203
* http://fishbowl.pastiche.org/2003/12/30 ... ntication/
* http://computerstuff.jdarx.info/content ... entication
* http://lists.whatwg.org/htdig.cgi/whatw ... 17413.html

Problems:
* Vary: Authorization can help to optimize Caching (e.g. Squid)

Yes, a html form for http authentication would be great. Also a html logout button. May use form element with method="auth" attribute instead of authform element.
