Web Application - Navigation while Offline

Hi,
I have 2 HTML5 pages with offline support and native application look and feel in iPhone 3.0. In browser (chrome 5.0) the offline mode and navigation works fine. In the Iphone Simulator, upon clicking the icon on home screen, the first html5 page loads in full screen mode but the second screen opens in a browser. i.e While navigating in offline mode, the full screen functionality is lost and the second screen opens in Safari browser.
The second html5 page comes up in full screen, if opened separately. I use <link> tag for navigating from page1 to page2.
Any suggestion or thoughts ? your inputs will be helpful. Thanks!!
